Tips & Tricks WaffleTastic®

1

Always make sure all your ingredients are at room temperature before making and using your batter!

2

Sift your flour to avoid lumps in your dough.

3

Weigh all your ingredients correctly.

4

Your waffle maker heats up fastest when closed.

5

Grease your baking plates with some oil before each first baking session, even if your waffle plates have a non-stick coating.

6

Close your waffle maker immediately after adding the dough. This way you will obtain a waffle that is an identical colour on both sides.

7

Use the electronic timer and respect the baking time. If you open your waffle maker too quickly, the dough will stick to the baking plates. We only show an indicative thermostat position and baking time in our recipes.

8

Use our FRITEL waffle fork to remove your waffles from your waffle maker easily and without breaking.

9

Let your waffles cool on a wire rack to avoid condensation.

10

Store your soft waffles in a plastic box or bag. Your hard waffles are best stored in a tin box.

11

Baked waffles can be frozen. However, pack them carefully so that no ice can get to them. How long you can freeze them and how best to defrost them depends on the type of waffle.
