Soft Speculaas Waffles

Ingredients

  • 120g baking butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 230g self-raising flour
  • 3 tsp speculaas spices
  • 1 packet vanilla sugar
  • 200g sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 100ml milk
  • Waffle iron (WaffleTastic)
  • Sunflower oil for greasing

Preparation

  • Beat the butter with the sugar and vanilla sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time.
  • Sift the flour, speculaas spices, and salt into a bowl.
  • Slowly add this to the batter.
  • Finally, add the milk and mix until smooth.
  • Preheat the waffle iron and grease the waffle plates with a little oil.
  • Spoon 1 tablespoon of batter into each mold and bake for 3:50 minutes.
  • Carefully remove the waffles (they are very soft) and let them cool (this will make them firmer).
